The Esthetics-cosmetics Advice-Sale CAP diploma is the first obligatory level to work as a beautician cosmetician. It allows to acquire essential basis to :- Carry out beauty cares (face cares, hand cares, make up, waxing …)- Be able to advice and sell cosmetic products and services.The CAP training programme is very complete and has got 3 main axis :- aesthetic techniques requiring rigour and a perfect knowledge of practical steps - an essential theoretical education with new subjects such as applied sciences- selling techniques and advising are an important part of the programme requiring role plays and a strong knowledge in beauty cares. A training period within a company (6 - 8 weeks) allows students to start in this job and to know the professional world.The examination of the Esthetics Cosmetics Advice Sale CAP is divided into 2 parts and composed of :- different written, oral, practical tests concerning the professional field- different written and oral tests plus one optional living language test concerning the general field.People who have passed another CAP in another field or a high school diploma are exempted from passing the general field (only diplomas delivered in France by the education authority are recognized) To pass this examination you have to get the pass mark in both fields.Concerning trainings for adults, they can choose to study body cares during the CAP. This option is approved by an international examination and a certificate that concludes the end of the training.
